Superman is the 50th episode of Angry Video Game Nerd. It was first aired on June 26, 2008.

The episode starts off with the Nerd holding the Superman game for the Atari 2600. He puts it into his Atari 7800 just for variety. He praises Superman, stating that he is one of the greatest superheroes of all time. The camera then cuts to the game. The Nerd states that it sucks. He seems confused. He says that the game is based more around time than getting a high score. But, according to him, the only thing that will happen is that you'll throw the game out the window faster than a speeding bullet. He questions the fact that if you fly upward, you see more buildings. He is also annoyed at the fact that this game, an Atari game, needs a map. He decides to move on to the next game because this one is too confusing. He holds up the Superman game for Nintendo and wonders how it could possibly be bad. The first thing he complains about is the absence of the Superman theme song by John Williams. Then the Statue of Liberty starts talking to Superman for some reason. Again, you start the game as Clark Kent in the Daily Planet. The Nerd reads a speech bubble out loud then questions the point of it. He wonders why everyone is wearing green ("What, is it St. Patrick's Day or something?") and why the telephones are so big. He goes through the door by pressing the down button. Right when he gets outside there are already people trying to kill him. He goes into a phone booth and turns into Superman. He is bewildered by how different Superman looks in the title screen than in the game. He expresses great annoyance at needing a pass to ride the subway, and then wonders why Superman even needs to ride the subway when he could just fly. He asks why Superman is so small compared to the other people on the subway. The next thing he complains about is that nobody has anything interesting or relevant to say. He reads a few dialogue boxes aloud just to prove that. He fights a boss and then is bewildered by the newspaper. The Nerd finally concludes that the game in unreviewable game that cannot be done justice. Right after he says this, a character gives him a password. He says that this won't be of use to him because he's never playing it again. He throws the game out his window and it lands in the bushes. He does, however, show us a lot of Myspace messages all asking him to review one game in particular. He promises that in the next episode, he will review it.
