Nintendo World Championships is the 104th episode of The Angry Video Game Nerd (series).

It begins with a happy Nerd who just received a box in the mail that has several NES games, and one happens to be Nintendo World Championships, the most rare game on NES. He then gives a brief history on the game stating of its legacy and versions. He then opens it up, looks around and finds it, however he finds out that it's a reproduction cartridge worth about 50 dollars. He puts on his shelf however, dissapointed that he will never have a full NES collection. However, he then thinks of a person who might own the game. He then calls Pat the NES Punk and tries to figure out if he has the game which takes a while. He then asks him to come over to check if its the real thing which Pat accepts.

When he comes over, he then sees and talks about all the game systems the Nerd has, they turn the attention over to NWC. As the Nerd opens the box, he is shocked to see it, however he lies to Pat by stating its a fake game. He then attempts to trade the game for another like Combat on Atari. The Nerd then invites a trade for the game with the other games the Nerd got in the box. Pat jokes and goes over it and points out all the "rare" games like Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt and Golf and makes fun of them. He then pulls out Nintendo World Championships Gold Cart (Thinking that it's just The Legend of Zelda), the Nerd looks at it and the two look at the cart shocked at what they found. After realizing what they have, Pat picks it up saying that it's his. The Nerd says he didn't know it was in there, and he wants it. Pat convinces him that the gray cart is better and leaves.

On his way to the door, he stops and imagines himself getting an award for best NES collection. The Nerd imagines himself admiring the cartridges on his wall. The two turn around and have a standoff. They then decide that they will play Nintendo World Championships, and that winner takes all. Pat then complains that the Nerd's Nintoaster is not fine for playing the rare games. So the Nerd picks up the reproduction cart and they start playing. The Nerd goes first, and when he's done playing, he's upset to find out that it's just essentially a mere glorified demo cartridge, consisting of nothing more than drastically shortened versions of Super Mario Bros, Rad Racer, and Tetris. After his turn, Pat plays and beats him. Showing off, The Nerd now doesn't care and currently hates the game. He takes out a hammer and destroys both cartridges, smashing them into pieces and ruining them. Pat is shocked for a bit, the Nerd gives him the Reproduction cart, the two laugh, till then Pat chokes the Nerd.

  • Mike Matei confirmed that both cartridges are real.
  • He also confirmed that Pat owns both cartridges, and that James owned the Reproduction Cartridge.
  • Before this video was released, James made two appearances in Pat's own video series.
  • Some of the games on the list included with the box were fake NES titles.
