Master Chu and the Drunkard Hu is the ninth episode of The Angry Video Game Nerd (series). It first aired on September 8, 2006 and is 4 minutes and 19 seconds long. The episode features special guest star "Shit Pickle" who is voiced by the Nerd himself.
The Nerd starts off by informing that he's going to have a guest reviewer, but saying that it might be "a bit weird," and introduces Shit Pickle. He says that Shit Pickle is going to help him comment on the game. So the Nerd starts the review by saying that the game is weird, just by looking at the cartridge, which is baby blue, and says that you can tell right off the bat that its "a big piece of fucking shit."
Starting the game, the Nerd starts off by explaining the plot of the game, and says that it "sounds pretty shitty." He says that the only reason to buy the game is just to say that you own the game with its title, and people could awkwardly stare at you. He explains the objective and the gameplay. He gives Shit Pickle a turn to play the game, giving him the controller. He asks Shit Pickle what does he think, to which Shit Pickle replies "shit" and the Nerd says "exactly!" He criticises the controls of the game, comparing it to The Karate Kid. He says that maybe the controls are bad because the programmers wanted to make Chu seem drunk, or that they were drunk themselves. He says about the enemies that come after you. He comments on the graphics, saying that the best effect in the game is that when Chu is standing still, his clothes wave around in the wind. He goes on to criticise the sound, saying that it "sucks", that the music is the same for every stage, playing over and over in a loop. He criticises the gameplay, saying that its repetitive from the first level, and that "it's more fun taking a shit!" He explains the rest of the gameplay, commenting on the Flaming Key of freedom, comparing it to the Flame Whip in Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, showing a clip from that game. He criticises the boss fights as not being challenging. He says about the last boss, which he was expecting something a little better, and criticising what it is and how it looks. He sarcastically says that after beating the boss, you'll get to see "the best ending in video game history" and shows the ending of it. He finishes the review by saying "what a piece of shit" throwing the controller and hitting Shit Pickle, to which Shit Pickle completes the sentence by saying "Pickle."
