16th January, 2015 - A belated Happy Holida--(wait, that's too PC...)
Merry Fucking Christmas and a Happy New Year to all you Nerd and Cinemassacre lovers!
And with the new year, I've stopped sitting on my ass--err, resumed my duties after a well-deserved break. There's a slightly updated copy of the Formatting Rules for you to break, too!
Let's all work our asses off again this year for minimal compensation and little attention from our idols! (I'm talking to you: James, Mike. :P)

1st September, 2014 - Kevin Finn confirms on his Twitter that Vimeo.com's video-on-demand service will be the first on-demand service to host Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie. The film goes up on Vimeo On Demand on September 2, 2014. Click here to see Kevin Finn's tweet. Seconds later Kevin Finn confirmed this information a second time in another tweet. Composer Bear McCreary also confirmed on his Twitter that his soundtrack to Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie will be available on multiple digital music services, including Amazon Prime Music and iTunes. Click here to see McCreary's Twitter post.
28th August, 2014 - Recent news about Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie, including home media releases and the soundtrack: The final screening of the film will take place tomorrow at PAX, also known as the Penny-Arcade Expo, on August 29th at 7:30pm in Seattle, Washington state. The film is set to be released on video-on-demand on the next tuesday, September 2, 2014. The music composer on the film, Bear McCreary, best known from his work on The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Da Vinci's Demons, will be releasing the original motion picture soundtrack the same day digitally through his personal label Sparks and Shadows. The soundtrack involves Bear McCreary's adaptation of Kyle Justin's original Angry Video Game Nerd Theme Song. It also includes two tracks, Nerds Before Birds and Barcade written by Bear's brother Brendan McCreary, performed by Brendan's band Young Beautiful in a Hurry. The soundtrack also includes a track titled Sacred Ground of the Golden Turd. It will also feature Kyle Justin. The DVD and Blu-Ray versions are set to be released in early November.
31st July, 2014 - As of today Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie have screened at three places almost completely sucessfully. One were at the world premiere on July 21st at Grauman's Egyptian Theater in Hollywood. The second was July 24th at the Reading Gaslamp theater in time for San Diego Comic Con 2014. Totally unexpected a sneak screeening of the nearly complete Microsoft-sponsored documentary Atari: Game Over were shown later at the same theater that day. James Rolfe and Pat Contri (Pat the NES Punk) did a review on it [AVGN MOVIE SCREENINGS – Updated 7/23/2014 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Egivxtif3pU] Despite minor sound-syncing issues at the first two screenings, which were mostly fixed, the crowds were applauding, cheering and laughing hard and having a genuinely good time. The third of the screenings were on July 27th and were the film's first international premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, Canada. A short film titled Retro, paying homage to The Angry Video Game Nerd, directed by Jules Saulnier was shown before the film. RETRO - Tribute to AVGN by Jules Saulnier

23rd July, 2014 - On July 21st, 2014, the long-awaited Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie, based on the webshow, finally premiered at Grauman's Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The theater was nearly packed with people. There was around 600 in the audience. Everyone cheered, clapped and laughed hard throughout the whole film. Not too far from the Egyptian Theatre, Marvel's new film Guardians of the Galaxy had its world premiere as well. There is a few rumors going around that the Angry Video Game Nerd movie stole Marvel's thunder that evening and had a bigger audience. After the film showing a Q&A sessioin with the cast and crew began. After the Q&A session James Rolfe and a few other people from the cast and crew reimained in the theater to take pictures and sign autographs. Most people, including the cast and crew, went into the pub next to the main theater building. This all continued late into the night. The next screening will be on July 24th at the Reading Gaslamp theater in San Diego, in time for Comic Con.
An additional screening in Toronto, Candada at the Royal Theater on August 16 10pm have also been added. AVGN MOVIE SCREENINGS – Updated 7/23/2014
14th July, 2014 - The screenings for Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie have updated yet again. Most showings are SOLD OUT, and remember that there will likely be NO NEW LIVE SCREENINGS past the official digital release date for the movie! This is probably your LAST CHANCE to see the official release of the AVGN Movie in person, so don't delay!

3rd July, 2014 - On June 2th, 2014, several new screenings for Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie was added. These included second screenings to Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas and San Francisco, and two new cities have been added: Philadelphia and St. Louis. A second screening in Canada has also been added. It will be in Toronto, and will be presented by the ConBravo convention in partnership with A&C Games and Super 1up Games. All these new screenings will be shown at the exact same time on August 14th at 7pm. AVGN Movie – New Dates Added! We have also been given a date for the international Canadian premiere of the movie at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, Canada. The date is July 27th. Originally James Rolfe wrote in a blog post on the Cinemassacre website that the people at the Fantasia Film Festival was going to release all the dates for their film screenings on July 10th, but it looks like we have gotten it early. 26th June, 2014 - Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie is getting an international premiere! We apologize to the Nerd fans for being so late with this news. As such, this post will be broken down into five sections to make it more comprehensive and straight-forward, so if you do not care about details, and just want the bare bones of what each section is going to be about, simply skim over the bold section headlines.
AVGN Movie screenings sold out. Two new screenings added - First off, at this point all screenings for Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie has sold out. Rolfe has updated the screening web page, and added two new screenings whose dates have yet to be announced. AVGN MOVIE SCREENINGS – Updated 6/25/2014
International premiere for the AVGN Movie - Kevin Finn - co-writer, co-director and co-producer on the AVGN Movie - posted on his Twitter on June 19th that the AVGN Movie will have an international premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, Canada. He linked to this web page, which lists a whole lot of the movies, mostly independent ones, that are going to be shown at the Fantasia Film Festival. Breaking News! AVGN:The Movie's international premiere James Rolfe posted about the Fantasia Film Festival premiere later on June 24th. He cited Lloyd Kauffman AVGN Movie International Premiere in Canada! As mentioned above Rolfe also updated the screening web page with two new screenings, the one at PAX Prime in Seattle, and the one at the Fantasia International Film Festival. The dates for both of these screenings have not been announced yet though. However the people Fantasia are going to announce all dates for their film showings on July 10th.

The AVGN Movie's supervising sound designer has been named - Kevin Finn posted on his Twitter that the film's sound design team are being supervised by a man named Demetri Evdoxiadis. 16th June, 2014 - Almost all screenings of Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie has been sold out. Only three remain, one of them having just been added. The additional screening is an extra screening at the Symphony Space in New York City, happening at August 8th 3:30, four hours before the sold out screening at 7:30 the same day. A second screening in NYC was added because of the massive response James were getting about people wanting to see the film when tickets to the original screening were sold out. The other two available screenings are both August 7th in Houston, Texas at River Oaks Theater and in Arvada, Colorado (which is near Denver) at the Old Town Theater. Both screenings happens at 7pm. The AVGN Movie timeline that Rolfe started to track the progress of the Angry Video Game Nerd Movie has also been updated, and it now has a "short version" of the whole story of the production included in the beginning. 12th June, 2014 - Tickets to all the currently known screenings of Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie went on sale June 11th 2014 (yesterday) through the Cinemassacre website. AVGN MOVIE SCREENINGS – ON SALE NOW
9th June, 2014 - The premiere date of Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie is revealed in a big video update on the Cinemassacre website. The movie is premiering first on July 21st, in Hollywood, in the famous Grauman's Egyptian Theatre. The next screening of the movie will be in San Diego at Comic Con on July 24th. Next the movie will be screened at the historical Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, Pensylvannia on the East Coast on August 2, where The Blob was originally filmed, and where James Rolfe originally premiered the movie trailer to a live audience. At the moment only five screenings will be attended by James Rolfe himself.

9th June, 2014 - The final written visual effects status is posted on the Cinemassacre website. A new big movie update is announced, which will reveal the locations and dates for the first screenings of Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie.
