Las Vegas, also known as the City of Entertainment is a major city located in the Mojave Desert in the state of Nevada in the United States of America. The city is a major location in Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie.
Las Vegas, which are famous for the Las Vegas Strip, are often cited as the birthplae of gambling. The city is famous for its hotels, resorts and casinos, most of which are concentrated along the route of the famous Las Vegas Strip, a stretch of South Las Vegas Boulevard in Clark County, Nevada. The Strip is approximately 4.2 miles (6.8 km) in length, located immediately south of the Las Vegas city limits in the unincorporated towns of Paradise and Winchester. Most of the Strip has been designated an All-American Road, and is considered a scenic route at night. Many of the largest hotel, casino, and resort properties in the world are located on the Las Vegas Strip. Fifteen of the world's 25 largest hotels by room count are on the Strip, with a total of over 62,000 rooms. Many of the world's most famous entertainers, ranging from acrobats to singers and magicians to comedians perform regularly in Las Vegas hotels throughout every year. These include the magician David Copperfield, the acrobatics group Cirque de Soileil, the comedy duo Penn and Teller, and the Las Vegas-based singer Wayne Newton, who used to own a hotel of his own the city.
