Howard Scott Warshaw was a pioneering video game programmer and developer, who worked on various Atari games, including the acclaimed Yars' Revenge and Raiders of the Lost Ark for the Atari 2600. Howard Scott Warshaw is best known for the programming developing the infamous E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial for the Atari 2600, a game that is popularly refered to as the "worst video game of all time", and which is said to have contributed greatly to Atari's bankrupcy and bringing about the infamous 1983 video game crash of North America. Warshaw makes an appearance as himself in Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie.

Other work

Following Atari's demise, Warshaw went back to school and became a doctor. He also wrote two books, The Complete Book of PAN, about a card game named PAN, and Conquering College, where he talks about a study program called RASABIC (Read Ahead / Stay Ahead / Be in Class), which he said enabled him to graduate early and save a fortune in tuition costs.
