Nintendo 64 is a game console made by Nintendo. It is a 64-bit video game system preceded by the Atari Jaguar. The console was released in Japan on June 23, 1996 and in North America on September 29, 1996. It is the successor after the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and was the final Nintendo console to use cartridges, moving to discs for the Nintendo GameCube onwards.
